The NBS Nelson Nyxons proudly represent Nelson in the Mike Shrimpton Trophy – a 40-over format competition for the top female cricketers from the Central District Associations. The Nyxons joined the competition in the 2021/22 season and achieved their first win against the eventual champions, Manawatū.

Nelson Cricket continues to invest in the growth and development of female cricket, and in conjunction with Marlborough Cricket, and have introduced a ‘top of the south’ trophy named: HIWA-I-TE-RANGI, which is passionately contested between Nelson and Marlborough.
